MO Why is it dead?

Can someone please explain to me why the rotary scene in Kansas City is so dead. I've seen all of your profiles, and spotted a couple of 7's, but why the hell aren't we doing anything up here???

I think most people aren't motivated. I know that'd be the reason i don't try to organize more meets, or attend for that matter.

The "scene" isn't dead, we're just not all out riproaring it up at the same time, it's winter, etc. When spring comes and there are track day/road racing/autocross/drift/rally/etc events going down, then look the some of us up that attend, or post up a good idea you might have for a meet-up.

You think it's dead in Texas, in the Canadian Forum we start threads for Sigma Time Attack (May 2012) and DGRR (April 2012) as soon as it gets cold. And maybe a couple of us get together for a beer in January work on the cars and shoot the **** for a day, and you don't see a 7 on the road from November till March except for the odd beater.

As Chris Rea - Texas lyrics say:

I ain't never been to Texas
But I sure gonna meet that lady
One fine day

While cold north winds are blowing all around me
But I don't care, my dream is westbound
Far across that sky so grey

I ain't never been to Texas
But I sure gonna meet that lady
One fine day

She's my little Texas
My little Texas

BTW, I saw on the news the other evening some parts of your fine State had snow. Bet you there were no 7's on the road that day or did some of you brave the elements and take her for a spin just to see what it's like to drive a 7 in the winter like most of us here in CanadaLand.

That was all posted when I was in Missouri for Christmas break. Just didn't feel the need to change my location since I was only there for a month.

I guess that's understandable. I only spotted two 7's the whole month I was up there. Not counting my two. It was kind of sad because it was like that in the summer too. I guess I'll just stick to good ole' Texas if I want to meet some more owners.
