Nope, I was the winning silver FC about half way down next to all the miata club guys. I did all three, and all I can say is "wow" to the new miata. Inside the tent they had the unibody sitting on display, and I could lift it by my lonesome. It dosen't weigh anything! Also, for the autox course, they said to put the car in 2nd after only 10 ft. The damn thing actually smoked the right rear all around the corner -and half way down the straight- in 2nd! I was very impressed

I was there in the red FD. I have been to a few car and driver events in the past and I have to say this Mazda event just blew all of them out of the water.

I was also impressed with the new mx-5. It’s a pretty decent performer.

I ran the auto-x event a few times and was able to rip out an unofficial 36.43 sec lap time. I believe the top time for Saturday was a 35.79 and a very impressive 34.79 on Sunday.

All and all I can't wait for the next event.

Yeah, it was a blast, and I was really impressed with the fact that it handled just as good if not better than the 7 with the stock suspension...

j/k, it handled like a dream, but the styling...it just looks like it's retaining water is the best I can describe it. Then again, I've always been a firm beliver in function over form...
