Who Wants to Help me Swap a Motor?

Taking my GTUs back to its roots by returning it to N/A form. I need bullet-proof reliability not speed(just sold my T04'd GXL).
Come August I will have about a week and a half to get this swap done. Basically just swapping the Motor, pump, harness. I already have my GTUs drivetrain in there. I could do this alone, but I'd rather not.

I'll have a lot of TII parts to part off too, look at signature to see.

Cool.
Yes I am going N/A block. It will just be swapping the motor.
Can you throw a straight long-block in there without removing all the components? I will be taking the tranny out probably to mate it up because it's a bitch to get that thing to slide in there perfectly without using the bolts to force it in.

Yeah, you can have it mostly complete. Just the upper intake and rats nest have to come off so the wires can be dealt with. So do you have a place to drop it in or what? I got everything to swap motors at my place. Except for a garage. BTW I'm glat you are pulling the trans too. It sucks to try to get all that lined up. Just lemme know when, You ought to call me cell when ready.

Cool man.

I've got two issues to resolve.
1: I need to find a tow truck, I don't know how I am getting the car from Southeast missouri to st louis, any suggestions?
2: No garage, unless I can beg my stepfather to let me use his, I do not have a garage. If I do get my stepdad to let me use his warehouse, the swap would have to be done as quick as possible.

Anyone have any suggestions?
PS I'm only 20 so if you want some beer or w/e, you'll have to buy, but I'll pay :-)

Rent a tow dolly from U-haul if you have a truck. If the car has current plates, My wife MIGHT allow the swap at my house. I have no garage, but have done several on the driveway. BTW, **** beer I want meth

Haha. If there is anything you I can do to help you persuade your wife, I would be in your debt. Say for instance if you need any TII parts...well we can work out a goood, good deal.

I have those parts already(ordered them) but thanks anyway. I looked up the U-haul Idea, seems I'll have to use the rolling trailer because the truck I will borrow is no more than 3500lbs(S-10). That's kinda iffy though because the front of the 7 might catch the ground..damnit!

I don't have current MO plates, but I do have current FL plates with "1308 CC", because well, the car hasn't been running in a year and a half.

I rented a car hauler before and I think it was 1600 #. I used a F-150 with a V-6 and 5 speed. The car hauler pulled really nice. It did lack a bit of torque in the hills though. I also went over limit on the plates. The nice thing about the car hauler is that it has it's own brakes.

I need details. Does the car currently run? Are there any other issues? I am waiting for a friend to get me a new wheel for the cherry picker, as they barrowed it and broke one of the casters. Maybe next week.

The car does not currently run. The only real issue here is time. I am moving to Los Angeles on the 27th of August. I need it running by then, that is pretty much the only issue. I don't have a job right now because I just graduated college on the 4th so I am free all the time.

I am basically asking if you have ALL the necessary parts to complete the swap. I wanted to know if there were any issues with the car ie: wiring problems, wrecked, missing parts. Saturday evening would probably be doable. Sunday is the wifey's Bday, but if we can get it all done in a couple days, then cool. I am very busy right now, as I am doing the police tests and also working 6 days a week. Since you are currently un-employed, I can let you work on it while I'm at work so you can finish er up. Does that sound doable? Maybe get the car here Friday evening?
