Feff,
Get your Lotus butt outta here! Just kidding. It's Artie from the LEF and Unity1. I have a 3rd gen RX7 too in addition to the Lotus. Do you have a 7?

I saw you guys have Sep 17th as your '07 date at HPT. Is that a Monday? Also, do you guys have a group for/allow racecars?

KST:

Yes the September 17, 2007 date at Heartland Park is a Monday (weekends were all taken). I'd say your closed wheel race car will fit nicely in our Experienced Class 3 if you'd like to run with us.

I hope to see you at the track!

I may join you guys. I wouldn't mind having one last shake down run prior to the Runoffs, without having to pay the high fees for a Runoffs test day.

Thanks

My Lotus money is going into my backyard. My wife is starting her "landscaping" projects since we have decided to stay in that house for a few more years. Oh well. Worse comes to worse, I can always throw some track pads on the M3 and run it next year but I'm hopeful to get the RX-7 back on the road. I just need some time where I'm either not sick, not working, or don't have the little one following me around everywhere.

Feffman,

Do you run groups or is it open lapping? If its not open lapping, how long are the sessions?

Lastly, any days planned in 2007 for the other tracks in the Midwest like Mid America or Hallet?

We have run groups including Novice (instructors are available), Intermediate and Experirenced. We use our "best fit" categorization based on previous track day experience. Each run session is 20 minutes.

MVP Track Time will expand after 2007. This is my first year taking my efforts private (I've run track days for the national Lotus club, Lotus Ltd., for the past several years). This can't interfere withmy real job so it's a schduling issue. I've loved Hallett earlier this year and would love to go back in coming years. Haven't run at MAM and would like to get a day up there before we run an event there.

We should have regsitraiton open for the September 17, 2007 track day at Heartland Park later this week.

Feel free to e-mail me at Feffman@MVPTrackTime.com with any quesitons. I look forward to seeing you at the track!

YIKES!!!!Landscaping...NOOOOOOOOOO! Do you need some help finishing up the 7? Not that I have any spare time atm... Dr. V's engine is coming out this week(in my garage), putting new rear brake rotors on the 7, along with a diff flush and trans fluid change. Have another 7 from topeka coming down the week of Christmas for an ecu, silicone hose job and new shocks...Then.......Hopefully, have the seats back from the upholstry shop for the Lotus to install.........Time, we don't need no stinking time........................................

I don't think its help as much as motivation that I need. I just haven't had the motivation to head into the garage to get the car finished up. There isn't a lot left, just a bunch of little things.

What happened with Doc's engine?

POP! I think turn 7 at HPT claimed it's first rotary victim! Low fuel and hard acceleration up hill don't work well at 105F with 12psi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OUCH! Well, he had been beating on that motor for a long time. He is going with a Pettit built engine?

If you need any extra hands on a weekend, let me know. Usually when I'm this unmotivated, I'll work on anyone's car but mine!

Tell me about it, I need to put my car back into street trim. Still wearing the dirty track tires and race pads! Oh, yeah and its at a neighbors house under a cover! Hasn't moved since the Oct. Porsche Club!
I'll be pulling the motor this weekend. Everything is already disconnected, just need to go get the engine hoist from Afshin, but quickly return it to him as he'll need it again shortly.

Mahjik:

That breaks my heart. The Elise or Exige (particuarly the new Exige S) are an absolute blast to drive. Little too spartan for my taste, but a blast none the less.

Happy Motoring and we hope to see you guys at the track!

Thanks.

I'll make it out to the track in something next year. I'll have to wait and see what the Wednesday Warriors schedule is to see if I can make this event at HPT. If for some reason they fall on the same week, I don't know if I'll get "permission" for two events in the same week.

Yeah, the whole permission thing sucks! 2 cars, nearl 800 hp. and only 2 weekend events, okay maybe 3 if I keep quiet, a year.

Fix something around the house, mow the grass without being asked, buy here a nice piece of jewlery, make dinner, do the dishes, etc. and she won't care how often you go to the track!!!

Yea, but you probably don't have as many cars around the house as Art does.

Thanks, after looking for 3 years I found a suitable fixxer upper! Not quite as nimble as the 7 but still an awefully cool addition to the stable!
