Steve Kan will be in Cedar Rapids Iowa Nov 1 & 2

As the title states, Steve will be here Nov 1 and 2. If you want to be on the list let me know. We are using the dyno at Black Widow Diesel in Center Point http://www.shop.blackwidowdiesel.com/main.sc.

When did this get planned? It's not on the schedule on his website...

I already sent my deposit for him to tune me 11/29 in St. Louis but you're much closer to me. Get him to verify the trip and I'll definitely come to your session instead...

Just updated on my website. We will try to tune as many on saturday as possible so that if someone has issues on sat, I can work on them on sunday.

I'm definitely in, then .

As much fun as St Louis sounds this is going to save me over 700 miles of trailering. How many cars are already going to be tuned? I'm thinking mine may take a while as I need a pump gas and race gas tune.

What's this facility like? Is there access to any services/lifts/tools if problems are found while on the dyno?

We have 4 that have paid the deposite and 4 or 5 others who are still stuck on maybe.

The dyno shop is a diesel truck tuning shop. I'll ask them about lifts and stuff.

The list right now is

Darius rb25 240
Blacknsingle mkiv supra
Stix37867 rx-7
ryan1 rx-7

Just to let you guys know, I'm only there for all saturaday and half of sunday so I won't be able to tune that many cars. I think 6-7 is the max I can do with the allow time frame I have.

Most if not all cars need to be trouble free so that we won't delay other people's tuning time.

OK I'll add myself to the paid deposit list;

1. Darius rb25 240
2. Blacknsingle mkiv supra
3. Stix37867 rx-7
4. ryan1 rx-7
5. Mills rx-7

Steve, I told Eric about tuning in Cedar Rapids instead. He's waiting to hear from you whether he should mail you my check or just destroy it. Either is fine with me.

Went well for me and Mills, everyone else had problems.
Darius(rb25 240) had ignition break up above 4k rpm
Blacknsingle(mkiv supra) had an auto trans that was slipping
Stix(fd) had boost control/turbo problems
Mills(fc) made 425 on race gas
I made(fd) 430 on pump
#'s were on a Superflow dyno.

Yeah, it went great but after driving my car for ~1/4 tank on the street it started hesitating really bad under boost. I found some nasty gunk on my new race plugs (I started a thread in the single turbo section w/pics). After cleaning the plugs the car hesitates sometimes and pulls strong all the way to redline sometimes so I dunno what's up.

If I don't get it figured out I may have to bring it down to St Louis and have Steve look at it for me again .

That is if the weather is decent, it's been raining/snowing here for days now and I haven't been able to drive it since last Friday...I suppose I could just buy new plugs and try them but at $34/each I'm sort of against doing that unless absolutely neccessary, lol.

yeah, I saw those pictures....... what type of premix is that you're running? maybe it's from that? screw those $34 plugs, try the $5 advance auto race plugs

you're welcome to come down......

I'd clean the plugs off and try a different premix.......
