St. Louis Help w/ emmissions

I sold my car and now she resides in STL. The new owner needs to get the car to be street legal now, and will need to pass emmissions or at least get around it so the car can be titled and tagged. Anyone know how to get past this, or any helpful hints on what to do to make it pass?

The car is a single turbo, no cats, no airpump, power fc, etc....so how do all of you pass? Can he simply bolt on a catalytic converter and lean the fuel maps out? Is there any way to pay to not have to take this stupid test? Can he register in IL to not have to take it or does IL STL also have emmissions. Any help would be appreciated for him, I told him I would help him make it pass. His dad was worried about it.

Thanks,
Scott

How? Do you know someone there? Can he live there too? His father owns a business in Pacific, but apparently Franklin county also has emmissions testing....that was the original plan. If you could let me know how exactly you got the car titled there, that would help a ton. ****, the car can live at my house if need be....but I don't know the legalities or how to's to make that happen.

Eric, I got enough to sell it, let's put it that way.

We don't have emmissions where I live...never been a big deal to me. I am just trying to help out the new owner.

Does it have to be family for your registration? Or just anyone you know?

Their periods attract bears. They can smell the menstruation.

Scott, Just so you know, Franklin county has a different test, no rollers. Just an idle, sniffer test. You might get by with putting on a cat and leaning it out. I have had one car fail and all they did is look under the hood for a second and pull out mirrors to look at the exhaust system. Then you have a few weeks to retest. It might be worth a shot
