Spotted in Chicago-MB FD on SB I-294 at Ogden
Saw a stock looking MB FD with an R1 wing and NO FRONT BUMPER (?!) going southbound on 294 this morning just south of Ogden Ave.
That's asking for trouble.
Anyone???

Just wanted to note that I was in this area during late friday night and early sunday morning. That's not my car though. I'm from st.paul MN and man I hate I-90 cause you gotta pay toll fee's, we were going towards Ohio to buy a VR4. Yeah 12 hour drive from Minnesota to Ohio, but I didn't drive my FD. I was hopeing to see some RX7 too but didn't. This was my first time in Chicagio and it is very nice down there! Your highways were better compare to our's, no big bumps and cracks. But I guess that's what the toll fee's were going towards... ahahah

That's the best damn thing I've heard all year. Our roads SUCK!!!!!
Let me give you an example.
294 and 355.
If you're not doing at least 80, you're head's smacking the roof cause they have a wave (for lack of a better term) in the road that, depending on your suspension, car and wheelbase, if you hit just right, amplifies the dips and peaks and you bounce around. Don't forget the congestion at the newly opened open road tolls...in particular 294 at 95th and 167th.
Way south 294, 394, 80/94.
Under construction for the last 2-3 years and will be for another 3 I think.
90/94 (Dan Ryan)
Will be under construction starting March until the end of 07. It's a parking lot now and that's with about 5 lanes in each direction. They're reducing it to 2...maybe 3.
90 and 290
Not too bad, but you never go fast enough to tell cause it's perprtually jammed.
88
Don't travel it too much, but sucks just the same.
80
That's the boonies and never go there. When I do, it's OK.
Now the BEST roads (and in the US, that's not saying much) I've found lately are in Michegan. We went there last fall, and holy crap, as soon as we crossed the border it was perfect. Smooth as glass, no cracks and just perfect for cruising.
