About to go take a trip down to Wichita, KS to take a look at a 93 FD RX-7.

Are there any quality and trustworthy Rotary Mechanic's nearby? I know its a stretch, but you never know!

If anyone is free in the area that knows their stuff willing to be a second eyes and ears, I am open to that as well. Will pay you in BBQ and Beer.

 

The local go to guy is just across the Missouri line, Kyle at the Rotary Doctor. Unfortunately I don't know of any professional rotary mechanics in Wichita proper.

Kyle is good people and has been building rotaries since the early 70's.

 

I'm about two weeks too late probably lol but I don't think there are any rotary mechanics there. Closest that I am aware of are rotary doctor in Missouri and Prather motorsports in Topeka. There's a handful of rotary guys in Wichita, I'm kind of surprised no one spoke up. I'm about an hour and a half north of Wichita in Salina. I own an 86 and a 93. If you still need someone I can come down.

After a 5 month journey of waiting, getting turned down on deals, saying no to bad rx7's, being too slow, I finally picked it up. I got myself a really really really really clean FD! Car has been shipped and sitting in a garage in Chicago. Bought it from a classy dude in KS, Mraxg7. Thank you for being so detailed about the car and taking great care of it.

Thanks to great people on the forum that gave me great advice, answered my stupid/silly questions and helped me along the process: MD93R1 and StrandedRX. Also thanks to all the stickies and old discussions (Fritz, you are a god) that I've read the past month.

This is a great community and can't wait to be part of it!
