red FD in crystal lake
I saw a red FD sitting at Crystal Lake Brake and Tire(can't remember the exact name) I was more excited about seeing the car than where it was exactly. Anyones car?

^ Same car in question. I asked the guy about that car. He got a fresh rebuild and port job on the engine ( he bought the car with a blown engine) but hasn't had time to finish the install on the engine from what he said. He has ~$8k in it, but the hood and headlight covers need a paintjob, they're faded bad. He really just wants someone else to buy it off him. I may try to get my one friend to buy it off him, though (my firend owned an RX-3 back in the day until the engine blew and he couldn't get the engine apart for some reason). The guy that owns the shop owns the car, just FYI.

I really wish that I could get it, but after he told me that it was a fresh rebuild, all my hopes disappeared of ever affording it on a high school students budget (even though some kids at my school could just convince their parents that they want it and have it parked in front of the house tomorrow). The interior looks in immaculate shape for its age. Also, it's a '93 with the non-reinforced wheels on it (I belive).
Also, not to hijack the thread, but anyone here live in Crystal Lake? I know of 3 different FC's that are recent additions, two convertibles (red s4, and white s5) and a white s4 coupe that's for sale.

UPDATE: The guy that owns the red FD got it finished and was driving it on Sunday when it was about 60*. Really babying it with the fresh streetported rebuild, though. He probably wouldn't mind selling it though.

Okay guys, it's official, the FD is for sale, asking price $10k. Fresh streetported rebuild by banzai racing (IIRC, but it def. was a pro rebuild shop that is commonly talked about on the forum). Only thing wrong with it is that it has the turbo ducts disconnected to keep from boosting because it only has ~200mi on the rebuild. The hood, headlight covers, mirrors, and rear bumper have the clearcoat gone. VIN is JM1FD331XP0207672. I have pics I'll post here shortly.
Also, its a standard trans. I think it's a touring model, but IDK my FD's very well as of yet...

I'm just posting it here for the guy that owns it. He's not a big rotary nut, just got a great deal on it since it had a blown engine and all. Typically he works on the big V8's and such. I think he's pretty firm on the $10k, and with the condition it's in, I'd say it's a steal because the interior looks just immaculate from what I could see.

It's the exhaust shop next to Mr. A's at the intersection of Rt. 14 and Dole ave. It's rear bumper is facing the road. Just go inside and ask for the owner.
