Price
I was wondering if you guys think this is a right price lightspeed gave me. They said about 5,000. 1,200 in labor, and I guess the rest in parts/shiping.Do you think some one could do it cheaper? Doing it this way would result in me selling my car and going broke.

For a replacement motor? I'm sure they haven't broke your motor down to see if any parts are usable in it or not, which is an important part before giving you a price quote. I do know a guy in SW MO that I'm sure would do it cheaper, give him a call at 417.451.9661 His name is Kyle, name of the shop is Rotary Doctor. It's about a 4 hour drive if you could tow it.
You also might be able to take it to Lightspeed, have them pull the motor ... then drive it to that guy above ... then bring the completed motor back for install.

Went to light speed today, it needs all new gasket set for rotor housing, rotors, apex seals. John says it dosn't need rotors. He is looking at the housing tommaro and said something like he might have to ship it off? I know labor is alot but I don't see how it would cost 5,000 for gasket sets. The place in New Jersey built it, Rampage I beleive. John showed me the gaskets and how they were falling apart on the housing. He also said that he didn't think they replaced the bearings in the rotors, sence the motor has only 30k on it. Just wondering what you guys think.

You see Eric, that's why you shouldn't jump all over the kid ... no way he'll go to DaVinci now. 520hp, you have my number if you want to call me. You should have called me long ago for some advice when I offered, but if all you're going to do is post here hoping for the answer, then I really can't feel to sorry if things don't turn out well.
