Ozzfest 2005 lineup
For those who haven't seen it here's this summer's ozzfest lineup. Would be fun to get a bunch of people to go to the Chicago area show or something like that. I'll post dates and locations so if there are people interested in going we can arrange something.
Main Stage: BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, SHADOWS FALL and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. With a couple yet to be added.
Second Stage: ROB ZOMBIE and feature a preview of rock's rising stars, including AS I LAY DYING, MASTODON, THE HAUNTED, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, BURY YOUR DEAD, SOILWORK, TRIVIUM, IT DIES TODAY, A DOZEN FURIES

July 30th at Tweeter Center, Tinley Park
July 31st at the Verizon Wireless center, Nobleville, IN
tickets are supposedly going to be between 35-85 but I'd lean more toward 70 since the last couple years I've gone they were that much

well you know they always stick one big act on the second stage as the headliner for that stage. Zombie's supposed to have a new CD out by that time... hopefully it's better than the last well at least longer. Ticket prices should be up in the next couple weeks, when I get the info I'll post it up and we can start arranging things.
I went to two shows last year and the year before both were badass, second stage lineup for this year looks better than last with The Haunted, Soilwork, and Mastadon on it.

I heard Maiden were going to skip several Ozzfest dates this year. Which ones, I don't know. Either way, if anybody saw the tour last year they'll know any band will pale in comparison to Judas Priest. That's why the Ozzaroo quickly brought back Bill Ward at the last minute, and reunited Sabbath; b/c he knew his solo band would look like amateurs playing after the mighty Priest. Btw, Sabbath was pretty much a joke. In the Tribune's review of the Tinley show, the only 2 pictures in the paper were of Halford. Goes to show who the attention was on.
IMO, new-metal sucks donkey *****.
