So behind tailwind? Cool man. Congrats on the new shop! You don't see that many rotaries in pittsburg, I can only think of three people. The person off of 10th and stillwell with the sa22 and the occasional fc, the guy that had the FD near 11th and smelter(it has been replaced with a c3 vette) and the guy in frontenac off of hugh street with the 70000 rx7's in the driveway. How is it that I missed you?

I'm the guy that lives on hughe street that got 70000 rx7 in my driveway Beside me everybody in town is old fashion rotary owner and the v8 guy sold his FD. Well I been the fastest rotary running 10.18 but that's going to change. Why didn't you stop by when you were in town? Now if you're intown stop at 15th street where the shop is at I promise you'll be really happy.

Cool beans man!! I always wondered who that was at that house. You know who owned the fd that parked at dillons a few years back? You ever race a mokan? I take it you have. I met someone a few years back... prob 04ish, that had a black s4 TII that hailed from pburg. ran roughly 14.2, so I figured it was stock. You know him? Seemed like a good guy.

That guy with the FD parked in front of Dillion basically threw his car away. There was some problem with it he toke it to the mechanic shop that doesn't know anything about rotary. So he gave up on the car and left it, later tomcreation from this forum bought it from the mechanic and did the V8 swap on it. The other guy that have the T2 is prolly green color he use to live in Frontenac than moved to Arkansas his name is Josh ***. Yes they both are really nice people.

I'm the guy who had the "black" green TII. I'm heading up to Mo-Kan next Sunday and will go check the shop out. I met Poncho before in KC. He is a knowledgeable guy who knows how to make power on rotary engines and build fast drag machines. Isn't his rx2 in the 8s now?

Josh

Yes he ran 8.81 but that was his old setup. Next coming year would be exciting and we're looking to head east to compete at afew events there.

Ran the blue FD at 10.66 133mph on the first run and was told to run 11.49 or slower. The car was running really rich.

I know PFC but my laptop crashed with the software and maps I saved. It is not hard to tune the PFC but if you can wait I would recommend Steve Kan to tune it. If you got a datalogit it make it alot easier. Poncho knows the microtech very well.

I've got pfc + datalogit + laptop, so I can tune. I just don't have the experience to make sure I know what I'm doing.

If you got a wideband you can log the tune and adjust the fuel map. Did you join the datalogit yahoo group?

yes I have a plx wideband. Yes I'm on the yahooo group. I think what I really need is some dyno time, because street tuning is a PITA.

Street tuning isn't that bad, just get the injectors setup and start making logs! Is your car just not tuned at all?

I tuned it so that it is running a little rich until I can have a pro do it. At first it was lean so I added fuel to prevent any bad things happening. I am in the process of doing some upgrades (IE better twins, new exhaust, EBC) so I wanted to do all my mods before taking it somewhere. In the spring I'll look for a Steve Kan event or maybe drive it up to Banzai.

Unless James, you think your place can do it? Pittsburg KS alot closer than Indiana.

I can do it but as for experience I would refer Steve Kan to do it. Just look at your base map and make sure the fuel curve is smooth, remember the most fuel at peak torque. For a rotary it is usually at around 6500 rpm you can see the fuel curve start going down after that. If your car is close to stock I would use the stock map by setting it to default.
