Anyone know where I can go to get my car tuned in the chicagoland area, or even if I have to travel a little bit. I called A-spec and they wont, any good tuners in the area?

Why wont aspec? They dont like you?

 

No, no its nothing personal to "MadMax" . We now have a shop policy that unless we've seen the car before or actually did some work on the car we dont want to tune it due to many factors. We sometimes get cars that come in for tuning but it turns into a troubleshooting session on the dyno and it kills time and money on both ends. As these cars are now roughly 13 years old and alot are not put back together correctly... alot of cars that need to be "tuned" have other issues to be addressed first. We actually get cars that have SERIOUS problems coming to us for a "tune" We'd like to have a "history" of the car now, thats all.

 

We're having Steve Kan to St.Louis for another tuning session. We're shooting for January.

The car has been sitting for awhile from the previous owner, we brought the car to work on and fix the problems but we haven't decided if we wanted to do this yet.

The car made 400rwhp@10psi with this turbo and spools to 10psi by 3krpm on the previous 1/2 bridge engine

The engine has new rotor housing, upgraded to mazda 3mm seals, new rear iron housing (previous engine builder was using atkins stuff and broke the apex seals along with major wear on the rear iron from atkins corner seals.

The car was in a few magazines a few years ago. The previous owner bought it for $30k back in 2002 so there're alot of goodies in this car.
