I bought an '86 GXL a while back and have been slowly working on it. The previous owner decided to try taking it apart and didn't know what they were doing. So I have got most of the engine put back together and need to get the car fired up (part of the deal to buy the car was the fiance gave me a deadline that the car had to run by otherwise I would have to sell the car and put the money into a savings account...yikes).

In tearing the motor apart, the previous owner lost some of the parts including the injectors. Is there anyone around the Des Moines area, or even in Iowa that would be willing to sell me some injectors? Maybe even let me borrow a set so that I can simply fire the car, make her happy, and get some down the road?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

I have several sets of used 460cc low impedence injectors. How's 75 shipped for a set of 4 sound, Money Order only. PM me if interested. Fwiw, it's always a good idea to send them out for cleaning. If you need anything else, let me know. If the PO managed to lose the injectors, he probably lost some of the other little parts too, like the plastic spacer that goes under the primary fuel rail.

 

I have a pair of the ones you need if you're still looking. One of them needs a new pintle cap ($2 part) and they all could use new orings. As previously mentioned cleaning is always recommended. Can ship the pair out to you for $35
