need 12A Flywheel mo-ks

Have a friend not on the board looking for a 12A flywheel with ring gear in good condition, and good or turnable surface. kansas city area prefered due to weight.pm me please if you have one.

Make sure it is compatible with what you have. 81 and 82 use a lighter flywheel, which is not compatible with anything else. I found this out the hard way...

Actually, the differences are basically 215mm clutch and 225mm clutch.

All '79-82 use the 215mm clutch, and have counterweighting for the "heavy" rotors.

All '83-85 use the 225mm clutch, and are counterweighted for the "light" rotors.

You can't switch the two because of the counterweight issues, but you can use the '81-82 rotors on the '79-80 engine for a little performance boost. I've done this

You can use a 215mm disk in a 225mm flywheel (not the other way around) but you need to use the correct-for-the-flywheel pressure plate. A friend's '79 has a 225mm flywheel and pressure plate, but a 215mm clutch disk... works fine.

I think he said it was an 84 . Anyway it was Chuck Clarks dad ,Charlie Clark. He is a seasoned it ep racer i am sure he gave him the correct one. Thanks for bringing that up i will be sure and call him anyway.
