As you can see it all depends on weather and when we have enough people and Kan's schedule.
I'd like the 20b tuned b4 I sell it.

well I might have two cars to tune for myself, my 93 and my 83 rx7 if I get a management for it. we can see what shop is a good spot for when we need to get a dyno. I will have to see. I have a few friends I can look into and prices. Geovanii I will put you on the list. I have two more guys interested but I will have to contact them just to make sure again. so that will me more than enough to lock steve down and pick a date for him to come up to tune. I will update you guys. Its hard for me to find the people that was interested because I have deleted my facebook and that's how they were contacting me. but it shouldn't be hard to find them. I will update once I have confirmed with them and talk to steven to see what month and day he has available and lock a date and get deposits sent out to him. I will repost a location of dyno also and steves prices and dyno charges so everyone will have a good idea of what to spend on that day. feel free to contact me at 651-323-8186 if you have any questions.

ok guys I have the pricings for steves tuning.
$400. Stock setup
$450. Aftermarket turbo pump gas
$500. Aftermarket turbo race gas/e85/aux injection
He said should be available in Mid May. let me know if that works for everyone. If so than we will need to send steve a deposit and lock in a date for sure.

Where's the Dyno shop?
Who knows he's tuning in Chicago this weekend and May 3rd in Iowa. Maybe people from these events might be interested in our event in MN.

Sorry for the newbie question but here goes anyway. I have an 88 RX-7 turbo which is bone stock with the exception of a Racing Beat Catback exhaust. It has 124k on the original engine and the turbo was rebuilt once many years ago. I have always made sure the routine maintenance has been taken care of but have never had any tuning done on it.
It seems to be running fine but the thought of having it professionally tuned has me intrigued. What is it everyone is after? More power? Smoother running? Better gas mileage? What does the typical tuning session consist of?
I've seen several members posting about tuning sessions but I always assumed this was for owners who have heavily modified their cars. Not necessarily the case? Would I get any benefit out of a tuning session?

i honestly do not believe the bone stock rx ecu can be tuned. my personal opinion tuning is more or less for cars that have beyond your normal intake exhaust mods. i do know many cars with just intake and exhaust that have been tuned before but at bare minumum you would need to have a tuneable ecu like an rtek or stand alone. tuning really would not be of much benefit if any to your car in my opinion that is. i hope that helps

RX-4,
Thank you very much for your response. I believe that answers my questions. I'll just continue to enjoy my Turbo II in it's stock condition for as long as it will have me. It really is a blast to drive even though I'm not getting anywhere near the kind of insane horsepower numbers some of you guys are.
I now return this thread to those with way more mechanical knowledge and way more invested in their engine bays than I.
:-)

If you guys need a street tune I can tune your cars for you for a discounted price to Steve's.
I street tune cars and have done a couple here in Colorado. I am visiting my home town in Minneapolis area in June and July this year. I could knock out a couple cars easily.
Let me know.
I have experience with a powerFC, I need a wideband to connect to on the car.
I have tuned my single turbo, (2) other single turbo's and a non-sequential stock twins.

I'm hoping to get dyno rates from https://www.facebook.com/fullblownmotorsports
by early next week. Rick Torres will be there Sunday to find rates. They have a Dynojet which I like. Also new shop and open house this Sunday. I might stop by. Any comments??
Thanks,
Ken
