haha we hope for one all the time.. everyone gives me crap saying mine never runs.. so far Ive made almost every event and then some...
the biggest event for our group will probably be back to the 80s... last year they had about 10 cars... (which is disappointing seeing we have about 80 members)
The main guys who started the FB group (Myself, Jason Fox, Austin Lindahl and Phil Weix) have a few events we want to push as a group but we dont have the numbers or I should say the people turning up to hold a HUGE rotary only event...
Keep watching the group as we hope to get a BBQ together and push those meets/shows etc... anybody is welcome to throw an event or meet together and encourage members to 'show' up.... I know Maca Garcia shows up to a bunch of car events... Ive seen him at a few already this season...
Wednesday nights Buck Hill is starting up again soon... I try to make that most weeks...
yeah buck hill would be great me and Roman hope to go soon if he ever puts an engine in his t2 or gets the fb is done
clean car mate.. if youre on Facebook come get connected to the Minnesota Rotary Owners group... I run it with a few mates... you doing the Back to the 80s show? we are hoping to get double digit first gens showing... we had roughly 17 rx7s and a rotary datsun there last year
Just got this beautiful Spark Yellow SA. Curious if anyone will be at Buck Hill the last few weeks. I couldn’t make it tonight, and am traveling next week but I live close and want to meet other owners in the area. Car is super clean but needs a little work. I’m walking thru system by system and making improvements but still have a ways to go but it’s drivable around town.

It’s looking pretty sure that I’ll be able to get the car over to Buck Hill tonight, hopefully there will be others who can too. It’s not in show shape but I do want to show it off and meet some people.
Maybe.. I run a youth ministry on wednesdays now so who knows.. if youre on fb hit up the Minnesota Rotary Owners group.. we will try to get some get togethers before season end
I live in Iowa but also have a Spark car. It's an on going project right now, hopefully will get it completed by next year. Sunroofs are pretty rare for Spark cars for some reason. Another fun fact, you tend to find Keystone rims on more Spark cars than any other color. I've always wondered why. Would love to see more pis of yours Kid Zer0.
Yes, I followed that auction and was not surprised when you ended up with it. I have also monitored BaT for quite some time and remember your interest in some cars there as well as your desire for a Spark car.
Have you done anything yet to remove the undercoating from the inner fenders and firewall? The car looked especially nice and original. Cleaning up the engine bay is really the best way to unlock more potential in the car. Here are a before and after shot of a car I bought this summer and cleaned up the excess undercoating. It actually looked worse than the before picture depicts. I still need to go through it and actually disassemble everything from the inner fenders and fire wall and rebuild the major components for a proper refurbishment. I plan on accomplishing that this winter.
@Banzai Haven’t gotten to the undercoating yet, life got super busy and I spent the time I had checking thru systems and driving a little. I’m gonna have to store it over the winter so that will be a spring job. What did you use to clean it off (besides the tried and true elbow grease)? Hopefully in the spring I can see yours.
This red car had the Rusty Jones treatment. I found that Goo Gone did a pretty good job at dissolving it. Took a few applications in spots combined with some power washing and going over it again by hand with a buffing compound to get some luster back.
