Shitty weather but still had a good time. Don't you just love how sunny it is today?
Lets see those pictures and videos!
Here's a couple audio clips of the bridgeported 12A I got with my phone.

Hadn't warmed up yet, complete with bonus lesbian yelling at the end.

Well it looks like more fun was had after I left. It was good to meet all of you. Hopefully in spring the weather will be better. Maybe we can throw it in Wichita.
Thanks Midwest 7's and Alex-7 for the efforts in putting this show on.

While we're all waiting for the videos, I've gotta axe you guys a question.
What portion of the drivetrain is stressed (or damaged) while doing an epic burnout? I know the clutch takes a beating if you don't do it right, does the differential get cooked while the tire(s) are spinning? The tires on my FD are junk and deserve to be smoked but I'm so damn paranoid about the car I'd never actually do it, I'm just curious.

I would think that pretty much everything would be stressed, but it was designed to take it. If you are having wheel hop issues, then your suspension will take a harder beating then it is obviously supposed to and you may break something. I would think that since the engine, trans, and diff are under load and the car is stationary that the lubrication and cooling factors would be cut down a bit. Basically, the engine and driveline was built to be under load while moving. SO, there may be a chance of the engine running a bit warmer than normal. Also a chance that the oil in the trans and diff would get warmer than normal and casuing it to break down prematurely. I really dont think that you would need to worry about anything (except maybe blowing a coolant line if they are old) if the burnout was less than 5 minutes long. Thats way on the safe side, and a damn good burnout. In most real world conditions, I bet you could last much longer before you noticed any severe damage come from it. Anyways I am rambling, so yeah spin em til they pop.

Once the tires are spinning, there aren't any shock loads on the systems, which is where parts break. Once spinning, keep any eye on temps since the air flow isn't there from forwaed movement. I know when I did my burnout. my tach instantly pegged at 8k and I didn't notice it at first, oops.
