microtech/FC woes in Lake county. Cant afford A spec

Is there anyone near lake/mchenry counties that can help me fix my damn fc? I just installed my microtech and it's idling at 2k and belching white smoke that reaks of gas. here's the link to my other thread. https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/lots-smoke-smells-like-gas-not-coolant-searched-426133/

My cell is 847-401-4428. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks

Joe.

Did you even call aspec? What did they quote you?

Let me ask you this:
- You can afford a new engine when you blow it with a bad tune?
- You can afford to fly Dave (guitarjunkie) out and party like rock stars?
- You can afford to live in Lake County?

But you can't afford to have A-spec look at your car?

It's probably just the MAP sensor (i'm kidding)

I dont drive the car with the bad tune. so, Im not going to be affording that.
Dave and I are splitting the cost. it's only about 220 for a round trip ticket.
I have a condo with 2 roomates, 750 a month. That's how I afford lake county.

And, aspec is 85 an hour for labor. plus another rediculous amount that i dont have cash for to tune it on the dyno.

So, believe it or not, a spec is waaaay out of my price range, but flying someone in who knows what they're doing very well is cheaper. How does that work?

and to tonyturboII, I called a spec a few times asking about stuff. as stated above. But, I dont have the cash for 3+ hours of shop labor.

At that point, Id much rather buy a wideband for 250-300, do a rough street tune, and bring it to a spec for less time. that way I can monitor everything while driving, and it's still going to be cheaper for me.
