lots of smoke, smells like gas, not coolant(searched)

I just got my microtech installed. It ran fine at first, then a few days later, I went to start it, and it took forever, but when it did, it puffed hoards of white gas smelling smoke out the back. Also, it would idle at about 2K, it would go down if I messed with the timing/tps, but never toan actual idle. And the smoke never stopped, no matter what I would do. Im at my wit's end. Im about to have Dave, (guitarjunkie) fly out here from Cali so we can fix my car and then party like rock stars. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Car has K&N full exhaust, walbro, no emissions. Stock ports. Also, I have a hard line coming off of the UIM ojn the passenger side. I have no clue what it is. The engine is a J spec. Any questions about my car, you can call me 847-401-4428, Im going nuts here, and just want my car to not be a **** box. Thanks for any/all help.

Joe

EDIT: Did a quick compression test with a normal tester. front rotor's at about 88 psi, the rear's at 95-98psi

your injectors might be clogged. Mine did that same thing . When I went to start it up it wouldn't start due to being flooded from the injector being stuck open and when I fianlly got it started it would smoke like nun other.

Have someone tune if you dont know what you're doing and it should be fine.. I don't know why you're messing with the TPS for idle problems if it's in spec..

let me clarify, when the "idle" went down, it was because of the tming. I was putting the tps in spec at the same time. sorry for any confusion.

Joe,
I believe that hard line coming from the J-Spec UIM is for the brake booster.

I wasn't able to hear your message very clearly on my cell. What happened with the hard idle...

The hard idle screw HAS to change the idle....it moves the throttle plates. Unless, you weren't on the correct screw.

Another thought....maybe the linkage isn't resting on the idle stop. Throttle cable could be too tight or something else inhibiting the plates from rotating completely back to the stop.
