The only thing thats changed is I've since mounted the hood and cut the hole in it for the carb to poke through. It'll need finished with a hood scoop or leave as is if you don't plan to drive it in wet weather.

I'd really like to keep the car but wer'e buying a house and I could use the money to help with our downpayment, closing costs , etc.

I stumbled across a White Touring/PEP FD in Ann Arbor last night. It was parked at the BP at the corner of Main and William, at the south end of Main Street. Stock FD wheels painted bronze, with an exhaust and a Blitz license plate surround. There were Black R1 seats inside, and I think it was a boost gauge mounted to the column. I asked the guy working the counter at the BP if he knew whose car it was, and he said that he thought that it was a guy that worked at the Thai restaurant next door. Anyone know whose it was?

Guys, anyone know of a good RX-7 mechanic? Just need something VERY basic --- install my headers on a 6 port 13B, and tossing on a set of shocks. I'm in the western D subarbs...

Send a PM to Hecubus84. He knows them inside and out, and might be interested in some side work. Otherwise, at the least he should be able to refer you to a reputable shop.

You probably wouldn't want my help, my solution is to give it a rotary-ectomy and replace it with something involving 8 pistons.

Thanks! It's not that nice in person, but it doesn't look bad for a 22 year old hacked together never-swapped-a-V8-before project car. I'm hoping to work on some of the visual aspects over the winter, but I've already got the parts to build a new motor for it.. from the ~260 crank hp one in it to a 350-380rwhp version. I think the body may take a back seat to that!
