Michigan meet: New FD owner

Hello all. Thanks for the advice and the vin checks. I am now officailly a RX-7 owner and I couldn't be more excited. I started this thread just to meet the local guys and create some connections that will be undoubtably usefull.
So just stop in and say hi. (kind of queer, I know.)

Thanks for the offer.

That's kind of you to offer your services. My FD has a couple of bumps and bruises that I would like to get taken care of. Can you give me a price? I have pictures if you need them. I'm looking forward to the next meet.

I'm in West Bloomfield. It's in Oakland County, NW of Detroit about 40 minutes. All this snow is bumming me out.

I can't bring my car to the shop until spring. Car in tucked away for the winter.

Welcome ...

Welcome to the MI Mazda scene... If you get a chance, cruise down I-94 this summer. K-zoo has plenty of RX's on a Friday night (maybe you can take on a V-8 or two)....

Hey that would work, Martin is about 5 mins from our shop, so if anyone breaks...or should I say when someone breaks, it'd be a short tow

ditto, I have a 62-1 waiting to go into the car but I'm thinking about going bigger. We'll see how things go in the spring.

Just cause it's closer, or have you raced at both? I was going to suggest Martin in hopes of drawing some of the Chicago and Indiana guys in. I personally will go either place. I actually prefer Stanton, but its a long ways for everyone except me.

What about US-131 speedway? I'm just down the road from it here in Allegan. Although I'm selling all my 7 stuff, I'll still go for support and any help with wrenching
