not running yet, BTW i see ur car almost everyday now when im driving, you still gotta give me a ride.
But anyways i am one of the many young owners on a budget so i have been taking my time ordering parts and such for the car. I just picked up all the parts from Ray at Malloy so that now the transmission can get put back together. Then hopefully its off to A-spec for the Swap. No idea how long the swap is gunna take them but the car will be shop ready by the end of the week.

I'm in, so how about the 2nd or 3rd weekend in september we meet, being that (hopefully) alot of us will be going to sevenstock in october. I unfortunatley don't have any great ideas for where to meet. Also, who was up at Road America for the MRR? I inadvertantly ended up there working for a friend on a Trans Am car, the #06 red and black corvette that blew the engine on the last 3 laps. I only saw a token few RX-7's driving around the track during touring, but the yellow with the Mazdaspeed nose on was fairly obvious. It looked nice, too.

^ I'm in the same exact boat.
So, any good ideas on where to meet? Aw, Hell! I just thought of it! I don't know if anyone knows it, but in carpentersville, what used to be medowdale, there is a forest preserve, raceway woods, where the old Medowdale raceway is. We could have a cookout there and walk the track (it's still paved, but the one bridge is still missing.
[history] Medowdale raceway was built back in 1958, opening with a fatal wreck on only the third race on the first weekend there, and played host to the Can-Am series, SCCA, FIA, ARCA, IMSA, and was the testing grounds for the mystical Corvette Grand Sport. Featuring a "Monza Wall" that lead to a 4000' straightaway with pits just off to drivers left, the course was build for high speed and handling, much as Road America was[/history]
Basically, the track went belly up because the owner tried to build a subdivision across from the track on route 31, which failed miserably. There's more info and directions here: http://www.meadowdaleraceway.homestead.com/ , so let me know what you guys think and we could possibly arrange a meet there.
