its a very pretty area.... the heart of horse country. Lots of open out doors and great hiking. Its a cheap place to live but I cant tell you what average rent would be. Louisville is pretty close and some of the best places to eat in the world are there becasue they have a world class cooking college. There is a pretty solid rx club based out of louisville and a pretty good import scene. Lexistreets.com and http://www.502streetscene.net/forum/.. theres another bigger forum but I cant remeebr the name right now. The Ky rx club does a few charity runs every year that are a lot of fun. Lexington has a college in it so theres that scene. The midwest is behind the times and they arent too keen on folks from the north but between louisville and lexington you should be able to find some fun. South and east you get into the mts for some really great driving. 4 wheeling is fantastic if you own a quad or a truck. GL I lived there for 5 years.
