Local help requested.

Hi Everyone:

I have some simple things I need done on my FD that I dont trust myself to fix (and I think that its too small of a project to take it to a shop). So I was wondering if anyone's interested in helping me out. Here's a list of what I need done:

- Install a new alternator and starter
- Replace front (and possibly rear) brake rotors and replace all the brake pads.

Obviously i'll pay the individual for his work. PM me if your interested.

It's cool dude. Hopefully someone will chime in. It's strange but you would think there would be interest for someone to earn some extra cash.

I would help but I live a little to far.. but seriously you can do all that byurself man..just remember where all the nuts and bolts go for the starter and the alt. the rotors are cake after you get the caliper off and the pads are easy when you get the piston pushed in so the new ones fit.....really though you can do atleast the starter and alt w/o a prob..

Thanks for the info. Yeah I did try to replace the starter myself, but I couldn't disconnect the harness from the starter for some reason...

I know I can do most of the work myself, but its back to the original concern...I don't know how to do it nor do I trust myself to do the work (especially in the brakes department).

Thats why I'm asking for assistance from local FD owners...so they can show me how to do it and in turn I will pay them for there time and effort.

Does this stuff need to be done before you can drive the car. Or are these things just going bad. If the car is drivable, I could possibly help you out his weekend. If you think your car can make it to West Chicago.

Thanks! I appreciate the help. Doesn't Christian live in Indiana? That might be a trek from where I'm located. Also, I don't know Christian very well so I don't want to show up to his place un-invited. We'll let the prez chime in and get his input if it's cool if I show up or not.

BTW - Vic's putting in the 500R right? It seems everyone's going that route these days :P

The car is driveable (in fact I'll be at Buff's meet tomorrow). I just want to replace the wear and tear items that need to get done on the car.
