lift

im going to be doing a tranny swap soon and they guy who is going to help me says its a real bitch without a lift. anyone know a shop or person who has a lift we could use to make the job easier? also will jackstands and ramps suffice to perform the swap if a lift isnt found?

Just pulled the transmission the other weekend to replace the clutch. It's really not that back with just jackstands.

Just follow the FSM instructions. It's pretty straight forward. The only thing that I didn't do at first that through be for a look was I didn't support the diff when I was dropping the PPF. If you don't do that you'll find that the ppf will get bound up on the bolts on the diff and trans.
