Boy, howdy! I think it is high time we meet up and show off our cars!

Tentative schedule:

When: 4:00 pm Saturday, September 21st 2013
Where: Linwood Park, Wichita, Kansas

Who: All rotary engine cars are welcome, as are "friends and family" of the rotary.


I'm not from Wichita, so I am open to suggestions for a better meeting place and ideas and what to do when we meet up.

I'd like to take a caravan to the local Sonic for drinks at some point, but let's see what happens!

I'm taking a caravan of 2-3 cars from Salina, Kansas, if anyone wants to join me from here you are welcome to join me!

I think every other month sounds good. Assuming it is successful of course. I'm not sure how many people will actually show, but I guess we will see.

Def. like the idea of meeting more often. If we get the FD back by the 20th...should be able to make it....if not...we'll be headed to Texas to take it to RX7.COM guys to finish this thing up the right way and tune it. Hope both cars done prior....but never know with these cars!

 

That'd be awesome. My FC works now! Its got a few leaks that needs patched before I take it anywhere

 

If I ever manage to get the SA back on it's wheels again, I plan on making more meets. Also want to get over to Salina for the auto-X meets when they have them.

 

What auto-x meets? Have never heard of them.... Haven't really heard of any race tracks around this part of the world really. Lol

 

Salina is the hometown of the local SCCA branch.

Funny, I've lived in Salina for close to 23 years and I didn't know they had Auto-x here. I've heard of people in town going to auto-x out of state but never anything around here. Weird.

 

Bumpity bump! I got a 93 FD now, so I will be rolling in that when the time comes. Hopefully my job won't ask me to work at the last minute again!

 

Did you just buy it, or have you just been having it worked on?

Bump! The day is getting close. Let's do a headcount of who is coming. If there are less than 5 people coming then I think we should delay the meet until spring.

BOOO!!!! I might throw a quick one together once both the FD and FC are running. Come who may....but I'll be burning some tires for sure either way! Stay tuned......

 

I just moved to Independence so I'm definitely interested in meeting up with some of you. My fc runs pretty well and I'm getting it track day ready but still drive it everyday Also, there is an amazing road course down by Tulsa if you guys didn't know. Hallettracing.net is their website. I will be going to a lot of their events next year since it's only about an hour and half from me!

 

We are having a meet up in Emporia ks on october 20th (thread for it should be up soon). Sounds like a good deal of people will show, if you are free you should join us!

 

Yeah I started posting in that thread since it seems to have more activity. Found that one right after I posted in here haha. As of now I'm planning on coming!

 

Will be planning a meet weather permitting....FD is done thanks to Rotary Performance...288hp at 10psi...runs like a top!

 

Like posted before, we are planning on meeting this sunday but its been raining a lot, so we will have to see what it'll look like
