lol, not that much of a noob question. I had the same one and Mr Steve had to come down and do it for me. There is another screw that looks exactly like the top one only its on the side of the TB. Use that one. Also do a search for setting the TPS and make sure that it is spot on.

I know why you guys are saying not washington. You lazy ******* dont want to stay up all night at the strip and then drive the 1 hr+ to my place. Its cool, we'll have the meet at the May household. Dont expect me to offer again.

Edit: Better idea - Let's have it at E's place since the last time there actually was a meet there a whole bunch of people showed up.

You guys figure it out and then pick someone to call me and tell me the time and place. I've only missed 2 meets - The most recent Eric one and the DM one a few years ago.

Jeez, do you want some cheese with that wine. We're still meeting in washington, but a few of us are going to the drag strip the night before. It doesnt mean we wont come down. Plus you better show up to run something at cordova.

Lower Red Circle - Thermal wax - used to speed up your idle when the car is cold.

Top Red Circle - that is your idle adjust

blue circle - that adjusts your air/fuel mixture at idle.

The throttle body screw that Ian was talking about is to hold open the throttle and is not the correct way to set an idle. Assuming no vac leaks and a properly running engine the top red circle should be enough.

If you adjusted the screw Ian told you - your butterfly valves are not closing completely.

you need to clearence them otherwise you have too much air flowing by (High idle).

you could also have a vacuum leak.

Easiest thing to do is unscrew the Throttle body set screw all the way out.

Then screw them jsut enough so that they barely stop/touch the cam. This is how they are suppose to be set.

Also make sure your adjusting your idle after it is warmed up.

Your thermal wax cam can be holding your throttle open aslo if it's screwed to far in.

Sounds like it could be the FPR which is mounted at the end of the return line after the injectors.

FPR = Fuel Pressure Regulator
