I'm just getting idea of whether there are any around here... I'm sure I'll need a housing. My rear rotor has two strong compressions and one week, I've read that that would be a side seal and someone told me that would eat the rear iron. I'm not sure what I'll need, but I'll sure need some stuff. The car's at my family's house down in Centerville and I haven't had a lot of time to work on it and with college starting....in two weeks I'll get down there and get some work done

First off, you need to make sure of the year of the car. There are some differences between first gen (like the gsl-se) and a second gen (86).

Josh, I have mainly body stuff and some motor parts, which is mostly 12A stuff.

Jesse, I believe I have some random link pieces. I will take a look and see what all I have. I will take some pics so it is easier to figure it all out.

I just remembered that you guys might be able to help out with an issue I'm having.

I still can't get my 85 gsl to crank by means of key, so I'm going for the manual method. That and I've finally got my hands on an electric meter of my own.

So, anyone in the Iowa City area have a jack they'd be willing to let me borrow for an afternoon? I kinda don't feel like laying under my Accord's factory jack any more than I have to.
Also, anyone with an extra passenger side headlight cradle laying around? I don't feel like paying a junkyard $30 for one if one of you guys is trying to get rid of one.

Lastly, anyone know the seat height dimensions for fb's? If a parts car for my wrx wagon comes through, I'll be sitting with two extra WRX seats - I figure those would be pretty nice in the 7.

If the next meet is in the IC/CR area, maybe I'll be able to push my newfound rotary goodness there...

Whether you use a borrowed floor jack or the stock Honda jack, you should use jack stands...either jack could fail.

I have a 5.0 out of a 89 mustang GT. Needs rebuilt, but looks to be in really good condition. I just got done cleaning up the block. I can send some pics of stuff I have if you are interested.

Russ, I have that cradle. Actually, I will sell you the whole assembly including the top piece. The bolts tend to snap off when taking the cover off. I am thinking 20 bucks for both sides if you want them both. Does your car have a rear wiper? If it does, I will sell you an extra hatch glass I have for 30 bucks. I also have a jack and a pair of jackstands that you can borrow.

Jesse, I have some random link pieces that you can have for free. All of which came off an S3 car (I doubt there is any difference between S2 and S3). The free part means that you gotta come get the stuff lol. PM me and we can go from there.

-Ian

Oh hey if you end up rebulding your motor, you should make it a 4 port instead of the 6 port that it is now. You will need 12A irons if you want to do this. I just so happen to have multiple 12A irons that I would sell you on the ultra cheap if you want to tackle this project. jason does porting so you could have a nice streetported 4 port 13B and make some really nice power. I am thinking that you would need a different LIM but I am not 100 percent on that. Search the 1st gen archives and you should be able to find out what you need. Or, just PM Trochoid and he will let you know all the things needed. trochoid is a good guy and will help you out. Tell him Ian sent you.

IanS. I'm going to take you up on the cradles and the jack and thw stands as soon as I get back to Iowa City from Des Moines (should be sometime next weekend). I only need one cradle, but I'll take them both - never hurts to have a spare.

As for the glass, I do have a wiper. Is your glass tinted? I'm trying to get the cheap tint that was on mine off of it but I don't see a way to do it without messing up the defroster wires.

Got any other stuff? I also need the taillights, the front bumper lights, and then maybe fenders and bumpers. Mine are all in pretty poor condition.

I have a driver side fender, doors (multiple I think its been a while since I looked), I may have some lights. I know I have a taillight, cant remember which side. I will be going out to "the place" and look and see what all I have and take pics of basically everything so you and Jesse both know what I have and you guys can pick and choose and figure out what you want or need.
