Hello from Missouri
Just wanted to say hello, I live in Missouri and Ill hopefully be joining the RX-7 crowd here soon. My love and joy will be gone next week so Ill be in the market for another project.
Right now I'm looking for an FD shell in the midwest...pref just something without engine/trans/harness or something of the sorts, I dont want to have to hunt down interior parts and stuff like that. Keep an eye out for me

so where in Missouri do you live? there's a bunch of rotor heads hear but we don't seem to meet up to often. it would be sweet if we can get a monthly KC rotary meet going.

yea, after this june/ julys meet im going to see about having one at a mazda dealership around KC. i remember a little bit ago a member talked to rob site mazda and set up something where they would supply food and a place for us to park at there dealership, i think it would be cool.

Welcome to the forums. It should not be very hard to find an FD. If you searched in St.Louis it's rather easy as the scene here is pretty decent for rotaries and racing. If you were close to St.Louis, there are 1-2 tuning sessions every year with Steve Kan, and we have Tuxedo Park Racing right outside of St.Louis.
Also, lx machado, please remove your signature, it's making me lag, and is over the limit of the forum.

welcome. there are a decent amount of rotorheads in MO, we just have a hard time organizing ourselves. KC, STL and springfield are the three main spots, with a few of us scattered elsewhere. which part of MO are you in?
does anyone ever find a shell on here with interior at least? Everything I look at is either salvage title or has no interior/motor/trans and still want 6k for it...someone show me where the gold plating is

I'd hurry and get a 2nd gen if you could. As soon as the new Fast and Furious
comes out, I can see 2nd gen stock $ going up. Plus a 3rd gen's parts just cost
twice as much even if you got hook ups.

Honestly, I would never pay MORE than 2k for a rolling chassis. I don't care how mint it is, it's going to cost ALOT of money to get it running again no matter what you choose to do with the motor setup. Whoever says it's cheap is so full of **** it's coming out of their ears!
You should look into 2nd Gens. It's an excellent starting point when you are new to the rotary world. I have owned 2 of them, and I still wish I had both of them. I have driven all generations and I liked the FC most all around. I of course liked the FD for the power, but the FD I drove was not even close to being stock. The FB that I drove was bone stock with 54k original miles and it was MINT! I still wish I bought that thing. I would still have it right now.
Do some research. Alot of the rx-7's for sale are mostly FD's and there are TONS of reasons why.
