Yeah people are always asking about that strut tower. The guy I bought the car from gave me an extra one, I want to powder coat it to match the car.

Whats up progress is slow, I tred atf in my motor to un carbon lock it. But I still cant turn the motor by hand. Iam debating pulling the motor out and throwing new soft seals in there. I hope that I dont need to replace my apex seals too that would put a huge dent in my pocket.

Your next move may need to be to remove the exhaust mani to get better access to spray into the housings. Let me know when you want to work on it, Id lend a hand. I feel you on spending the money if you have to tear her down. I have mine gutted, waiting for my bonus money to get all the parts.

Yeah I'd be down with that, I just got to round up some more tools my collection isn't up to par. Would letting the atf sit in my engine mess anything up? I was thinking about pushing it with my truck and try bump starting. Would that blow my apex seals or cuase any type of damage internally to my motor?

Just thought I'd drop an advance line here. I was born and raised in Humboldt Park and I've been out in Cali for the last five years but I an finally coming home. I have a few 7's and some other old school rides and I will try to stir up more rotaries to hit the clubs up. I know alot of my buddies in Chicago have some nice rides they just don't pull them out alot. My brother knows papo and most of the old puerto rican guys that build motors out there and I am going to (hopefully) start fabbing and trying to get more people to come out. So stay up Chicago rotaryheads and I'll see you soon.

There is a weekly get together on Wednesdays at The Stadium on 4015 Algonquin Rd. in Rolling Meadows @7:00. I won't be there this week, probably next. Others are regulars.

if you need a good repair shop, Advanced Auto Service at 5401 N Kedzie Ave Chicago, IL 60625. (773) 866-1999. Ask for Kevin or Mario. Tell them Kenny refer you. They are the best shop I have used.

Hey everyone, just joined the forum and just got my FC the day after Christmas. Its a silver-ish 89 FC, I drive around Chicago a lot since its my DD and when I get bored before/after work I drive around. Its a very clean car except for the palm sized dent on the passenger side fender, everything else is stock.

I live in the northern side of Chicago in the Albany Park area (around Montrose and Kedzie). If I had known about the meets at "The Stadium" every Wednesday at 7pm I wouldn't have mind going there last week as I didn't have work that day and I go around that area a lot to go to Mitsuwa and Woodfield Mall. I doubt I'll be able to go for a while since I work a stable job Tuesdays to Saturdays 6:30pm to 2am.

I remember once during the summer I saw a red FD at the Borders near Lincoln and Kedzie. I also used to see a dark blue FC parked on Kedzie and Argyle in front of a small tire shop, but doesn't park there anymore. If anyone needs a hand, hit me up as I am free to help during the day from the time I wake up till I go to work.

Welcome Hiideruhiro, i'm also kinda new :P I didn't know there's meetings at the Stadium every Wednesday at 7pm O.O! By the way what's the stadium's address? i'll probably go check it out, if i'm not too scared and probably after i repair my car (it's shameful driving the FC while it looks like that, wish i had another car to drive).

You dont need much to work these rotaries. I would not push start if the engine is locked. if a stuck apex is the problem you can break it and gouge the housing. Give me a head's up on a weekend and we can work on it. Ive got a decent tool set...

For all the Chicago people, we gotta make it a good summer and kick it on weekends! Cant wait to get my 79 running!!!

Don't know his last name, he was a friend of my dad. He had a 73 Corolla with a bridged 12a. I belive he hangs out at Manolo's shop and around Crystal and California. I had wanted to street-port my 82 so I gave him the car 250 bucks as a deposit and a atkins rebuild kit. I get a letter from the city that my car has been booted I go see whats up. The car had no motor a boot and 700 worth of tickets. What kills me its that he was a family friend, he fell off the map no one has heard from him. I honestly thank god I didnt find him them becuase I was young, stupid and had a 9mm waiting for him. But thats besides the point, thats why I WANT THIS ***** SO BAD!!!! I hope someone can tell me where he is at becuase that was real shady of him.

Damn, that sucks. Wow if that happened to me i would be depressed and pissed as hell. Since i don't have a 9mm, i probably woulda hunt him down w/ my katana (wooden, but they hurt like hell if u know how to use one) O.o?

Well anyway - on other note - since there's not a lot of activity going on RC3, i'll post it here. Neo_Omega, the MB FD that you saw parked near the apartment complex is probably my friend's car.
