www.v8rx7forum.com is throwing a big bash down in Indy, May 8th-11th. Food, partying, drag strip and Winged Warrior Event.

60 bucks to come, food worth 2-3x that amount is included. We might give some flack to the rotary guys, but all are welcome.

And for those of you who don't know me (including you as best I can tell), don't get a bug up your ***, I'm not serious, though if you are a swap hater, come on out to Hall's this summer and we'll line up a race. You might beat me, you might not. I ain't skeered though, ask Tony.

 

I don't hate the cars, v8 swaps are salvageable. it's usually the owners, although not always the case. then again I normally stay in the shadows keeping my opinions to myself. Then there are people like you that parade around town expressing their opinions as facts. when nobody really gives a **** what you have to say they just happen to be at the same place at the same time.

"rotaries are only good for the 24 hours of lemans nothing else" "rotaries are worthless, they suck at everything else even drag racing." just to name a couple topics. then you proceed to talk about rotary displacement and many other topics to justify why you dislike them not only that but to persuade others not to like them.. That’s the kicker. as if they cant make choices on their own or think for themselves. Perhaps you remember.. I’m sure if you do, you see it a different way. it doesn't matter how you see it, it's how you came off to your audience.

You wouldn't be so blunt were you around a cloud of rotary guys you must find comfort in numbers. I know your true colors. You acting accepting to rotaries is a bunch of bullshit. I like rotaries just fine, they're just not my engine of choice. Rob and Derek both know that I'm happy to sit and listen to rotary talk. They're aren't my perference, but in certain situations they're a great engine, and I have much respect for some of the cool setups that I've seen.

That said, if you think I won't talk into any group, anywhere, and state my opinions just as I do at Hall's, you're very, very sadly mistaken. Am I arrogant? Yep, sure am, wouldn't claim to be otherwise.

I spout a lot of opinions, I also state a lot of facts; many of the times I'm going off on a rant about something, it's because someone asked me to. Don't like it? Leave. Simple enough. Shoot, you can walk up and tell me I'm full of ****. I love a good debate/argument, just make sure you're intelligent enough to hold your position. Stupid people annoy me, and if you're one of them, I'll tell you so, so keep that in mind.

I wouldn't typically bother bickering with your dumb *** here, but since this started as an INVITE to an event, that you felt the need to throw a fit like a little girl about, I'll return the favor. Tool.

edit: I now see why you're bent out of shape; you don't constitute my audience; apparently you lack the ability to differentiate between general joking/B.S. and FACT. Had you actually walked up and asked my honest opinion, I would have told you my honest opinion of rotaries. As far as the rest of the crowd not caring what I say, how many people call you per week for advice on setups? How many cars are you building for other people just to be nice?

FWIW, my HONEST opinion of rotaries is this:

Road racing: Excellent engines, especially N/A. Turbocharging ups the danger massively. Getting V8 power out of the weight/package size typically will cost more money and be harder to deal with. I have seen several VERY nice setups though, and were I a road racer I might consider them.

Auto X: Still a good engine, though there is something to be said for the torque of a V8 in a very tight course.

Drag racing: Not a good suit for a rotary. The abuse of drag racing just doesn't fit well not to mention the gearing/shock necessary to launch under the massive RPM needed to really leave well.

Dorito in a peanut motors have their place, it's just not in MY car. I'm still looking at building a turbo single rotor jetski or shifter kart. I think that would be BAD ***. I have full respect for anyone running a rotary. I talk **** about EVERYONE, rotaries are neither picked on more nor exempted.

I didn't bother reading any of the garbage after the chuck Jr. bit.. the immaturity was a good stopping point for me. The rest I'm just going to assume is another rant this time about being butt sore and trying to explain yourself or trying to justify why you said what you did. Chuck and I had our differences too.. perhaps more so than you and I.

I don't enjoy arguments, they get nowhere when it comes to something completely subjective like automotive preference. I did however find it fit to correct you in saying not everyone here is accepting to v8s and I know I'm not the only one. therefor it is a fact that your initial statement was false. That being a fact seems to have struck a cord in you. lame
