well thats a bit more than i usually would suggest but not that it will hurt anything thats for sure. heres what ive gathered from a few friends that have built a lot of engines.

1 initial startup- burp coolant and bring to full op temp for half hour and dump oil and change filter.
2. do few heat cycles (bringing to full temp and letting cool till full cooled down)
3. few light driving heat cycles 4000rpm max.
4. few harder driving heat cycles.
5. change oil and filter again
6. if everything is good to go no issues start having all the fun you want!

the seals really wont cut or wear in if you will for a quite some time. if wont really hurt anything but your engine will be very slightly lower compression till things really seat it. but with todays coated and hardened seals this really wont change much at all with break in time

but dont take my amateur word on this it JMO. do what your builder wants.

my personal engine that is in the car now got the start up and initial heat cycles in garage then a two hours on dyno of cycling rpms up and down. then cooled down and tuned right away. and that was my break in lol

lol yeah i'm keeping an eye on the water level but they had it pretty good to begin with. i already had 3mm apex seals so those got replaced along with everything else. i have to do an oil change every 500 miles too during break in. going to try and get my 6 point installed next week

This winter:

Full chassis/engine harness rewire - almost done
New seat rails, 1" lower - not started
Redo engine bay - done
Rebuild gauge cluster - not started
Add EGT and Oil Temp gauges - done
Dana36 rear conversion (C4 Corvette) - almost done
Dzus fasteners for bumpers - parts here, still need to fab mounting system(s)

That's most of it, I think.
