The problem with that is that I can't be inside the car cranking and outside the car at the same time. haha.

 

Have someone crank it for ya. Might wanna diconnect fuel pump so no fuel sprays out.

 

that really blows man! did u check ur timing, jets, carb settings? id have som1 crank it and take a spark plug out one at a time and put ur finger in the hole u should be able 2 tell just from that if its blown bad. i should be there im pretty sure. hopefully chuck and the scoobie guys will show again. we should go on a drive like we said we were going 2 the first meet.

 

Its not timing. I can still get it to run by using the gas once its started, but it has absolutely nothing on the low end, and placing it in gear and driving it, well its so weak on power that it takes about 3,000 rpms just to get it to move without stalling out. It sounds completely off while it is running. Like one rotor just isn't firing right at all. Carb settings are good, and no I didn't check my jets.

I didn't have anyone helping me out while doing all the **** I listed prior to so I didn't have a chance to have someone crank while the plugs were out. I'll try and find someone to do that tomorrow. Regardless of whether or not the engine popped - it just means rebuild time that much sooner, right?

I still have every intention on buying another car anyway.

 

Try finding diff ignitors. Make sure your getting spark.

 

I already changed ignitors, I am getting spark.

 

I have a compression tester.....

 

sounds like what happened when my stock 12a i used to have in popped. is it running on both rotors or just one. if its just one then i would say time to build a new one. but my best of luck to ya hopefully its not what it sounds like

 

by the way just in case you didn't know, if you use a regular piston engine compression tester make sure you take out the check valve at the bottom (just takes a valve stem remover to do) that way you can see the pulses. if they are uneven that will pretty much tell you everything you need to know.

 

Engine is definitely done for. Its just putting me down for a tad bit. I have a spare 12a that is now completely apart, I've started cleaning it. When it goes back in, it'll be streetported.
