My FC is currently under a salvage title, right now im in the process in rebuilding the engine. Now to gain a "rebuild title" , Ive got to get it running and inspected by a county sheriff. Does anybody know how this process works? Emissions? Visual?... thanx ahead for the help.

 

Usually a salvage title is given for a vehicle in an accident, not one that had an engine replaced. For an accident salvage title you need pictures of before fix condition, all the parts replaced, receipts for parts replaced and vin's of parts replaced if they came from another vehicle. There is an affidavit that you put all the information in for applying for a rebuilt title on the indiana bmv site.

 

what about emissions?... its an 89, i know in IL they dont test anything less than obd 1, but idk about IN...i go to uti living out here (il), but im still legally living in IN.

 

there is no emissions testing in most of indiana. I know in Indianapolis you can run no cats and no emissions all day long, lol.
