December 23rd Chicago Group Cruise!

Start time 10 am ( cruise will leave at 10 so make sure to get there before hand!)
Starting Point:
400 E Monroe St. Chicago, IL
Pull into the Chicago Yacht Club Entrance Circle
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...dMEffnTL9PA%3d

I helped to originate this cruise for the Illinois Euro forums and it's going to be HUGE!

This is going to be a charity cruise, possibly for Toys for Tots. More info will be updated soon.

Estimated cruise distance should be around 50 miles and will include about 4 stops to gather everyone and take some pics.

Should be a BIG variety of cars, as it's been posted on almost 20 forums.

Ending location will be the top floor of the parking Garage at the Glen Town Center! Right off Willow rd. ( 5 miles away from I94)

so whos is in guys? any questions, just post here or pm me

Sorry bout your trans, and good luck with getting it up and running again.

By the way guys, here's a link to the original forum post:

People are coming snow or no snow, even the RWD guys. Anyways, it'd be nice to see some RX7s over there too.

UPDATE!! (please edit original post if a moderator sees this)

****NEW STARTING LOCATION****
The starting location was changed to accommodate for a bigger group of cars.
Each car must pay a $6 entry fee for the lot which we will have starting at 9:20 a.m.

It's east of Lakeshore Drive, along the lake, on LaSalle Ave (click on Streetview if you want a better picture):

Any other questions, let me know!

I would love to join the cruise especially since it's for a good cause. However, i store my 7 all winter as i don't wanna expose her to the salt, snow, and the overall ugliness of winter. Keep us posted if anything is going on in spring/summer

I'll keep you guys posted. Usually we have more stuff going on in the summer, we just felt like doing a winter cruise for once

And feel free to join the forum at http://www.illinoiseuro.com/forum/

It's a local european car forum but anybody is welcome. The guy who planned this cruise with me has a WRX and he's on there too.

the lot was the only way we could do it to accommodate for the amount of cars coming... originally we were going to line cars up by the yacht club but it was technically illegal to park there even though no one uses it, and being right off of lake shore drive it could have attracted some unwanted attention

there's three pit stops in scenic areas to take some pics and wait for people to catch up. i'm not gonna spoil the locations here though, you'll just have to come see for yourself

and it ends at the Glen in glenview, if you couldn't make it to the cruise you could meet us there. i'm estimating we'll be there around noon on the top floor of the parking garage. people will probably go eat and hang out for a while.

So we have to pay and it's not for charity? This seems like a pretty weak cruise...

It was a lot of fun guys and a good turn out. I know the parking cost kind of sucked but we'll have a lot more events coming in the spring and I'll keep you guys posted.
