Curious about Chicago?????
Well, it looks like I'm moving to Chicago in a few months and was wondering what is your opinion about Chicago? I'm from New York and pretty much you have the rudest people around. There are a lot of cons about NYC, however, I still enjoy living here. Also, I'm 27 so I plan on going to a lot of clubs and having a good time.
Thanks

I won't let go
It's Lincoln Park man...
You'll love Chicago. I've only been to NY once. First thing I think you'll notice...it's CLEAN. If nothing else, the mayor did do that.
The club life is a plenty. There are tons of them everywhere. Whatever you want, you can find.
As far as the local 7 community...we're a bunch of rebels. The club is in shambles. But no matter. When we do get together, we have fun.
Where about are you looking to move to? Chicago proper or the outlying areas?

Christian man, im still hard at work trying to find more ppl to refer to the club. THe ppl are out there its just a matter of informing them about it. Ive had at least 3 or 4 guys in just my area (prospect, arlington heights, des plaines) come up to me to talk about my car and turns out they all had 3rd gens. THey were a lil older (45+) so maybe they werent to keen on all this internet clubs and such but they all had nice clean VERY low milage FDs from what i heard. Ive also seen a bunch of modded 2nd gens flyign around that i try to direct here...just today i found a guy who had a nicely modded 2nd gen that had absolutely NO idea about this site or about A-spec......i was like WHAT....how can you even get into these cars without having a giant information base to back your *** up in the event of a.....well normal periodic breakdown.
But yea is till think the club def has life in it.....as far as im concerned...and all i really need out of a club is a meet to check rides, chat, and then a cruise afterwards. Track days and things of that nature are def good ideas but i dont think this is the type of club that has the commitment to do something like that...were just a bunch of average guys with average scheduals and BELOW average wallets.

I've been to NYC several times and although my visits were a lot of fun, I can't imagine living there. Kinda dirty, people are rude, and the city is hella expensive. Chicago is a good alternative in my opinion. Cost of living is decent for a big city, you still have all the benefits of a big city, and it's fairly clean. There are lots of place to live and honestly, it's personal preference. It really depends on your life style. If you party a lot, like Christian said, Lincoln Park is a great area. However, there are plenty of other areas that have great night life and a lot of young people. Bucktown, boystown, gold coast, wrigleyville, streeterville, etc. I can't remember all the little neighborhoods. Anyway, welcome to Chicago. Oh ya, the winter's here suck. Much worse than the northeast in my opinion.

vel525...you definitely know about NYC! My *** is being recruited there for work and hopefully I'll have a blast in a new city. Well, I'm definitely going to stop at Lincoln Park.
If you see this FD out there, you know it belongs to me. The only difference now is that I have a KnightSports hood and Feed sideskirts.

I'm going to move to Gold Coast. Hopefully, I'll enjoy Chicago, because I'm getting pretty tired of NYC. I just need a different atmosphere for a little while.
Thanks again Any more info would be greatly appreciated.

^ I don't know...
Oh, yeah, I'm back online *finally* after my family was evicted from the house we've been renting for the last 14 years to make room for the landlords mother. What a fiasco with 2 days notice and all...
