I started this chicagoland repair thread many years ago. That discussion deteriorated due to that Elite shady business.

I've since been using my local Mazda dealer for almost a decade as I mentioned in this thread
since the head mechanic Dan was a rotary expert.

Sadly, my local Mazda tech, Dan, who i trusted implicitly has now gone.
Any new recs for Chicagoland shop for our RX7?

Obviously Banzai Racing in Indiana is well known and reliable but that's a 3 hr drive each way.
Any new recs?

I can help out with FD work starting this fall, let me know what you need. My latest pickup is a Vapor Hone machine to make anything aluminum look better than new!

 

For anyone around Chicago, I would be happy to ultrasonic clean and vapor hone any aluminum parts you have.

After 30 minutes in the ultrasonic: Much cleaner but look at the next step below.
