Calling all Chicagoites...my last cruise.
I figure since the local forum is dead as it is, I'll post it here...
As some of you may know, I'm moving. Not to somewhere where I can bring the 7 unfortunately, but fortunately, I'm not getting rid of it.
Where's that, you ask? London.
I've tried, very unsuccessfully, to bring the Chicago rotary folks together, but I made it very clear that I wouldn't and couldn't by myself.
Well, that's all in the past now, but would like to get you guys and gals together one more time for a good cruise. I don't care where (so long as I can find an E85 station).
My proposal is go meet up on 9/25, say, 11am and drive somewhere. Maybe to Glenview...do a little karting. Perhaps starved rock. We'll see what the leaves do in the next week and a half. Maybe down the lakefront and get some photos. I don't know yet, but what I do know is that I want to see a **** ton of local rotary owners actually get together. I know you're all out there. Think of the mass of vehicles we had at A-Spec in 2004...that was nice.
I haven't been around here as long as some, only getting into the rotary in 2002. Some of the locals I've met have become good friends. Those not local that I've had the pleasure of chatting with have had great insight and have always been a great help...some I've met. Some I've had the pleasure of meeting on the track and drive with as well. Even broke some things (still not my fault) and have been taken on a ride with of of our regional track favorites.
Not that I want to get all nostalgic here, but not only will I miss this city, I'll miss hanging out with those of you that are the regular folks I've known for the last eight years.
So, here's hoping for good weather as I don't know that I have time for a rain date...and hope that all of you can make it. I don't want this to be about me as I'm not about that. I hate that actually, but I want to just have one good, last romp around here.
And of course, to those that no longer have a rotary...and you know who you are...yes, you better get out here.
So...let's do this...

I was selling for a couple weeks, but then decided otherwise.
Doesn't necessarily NEED to be a rotary, though depending on what and where, you may want something...suitable.

Ok, so the plan is starting to look like this. Pop over at Autobahn for a bit to see some bikes running depending on whether they charge to spectate. I can't remember as it's been a long *** time since I've been there.
From there, head out to Starved Rock...the leaves are starting to turn here so possibly by this weekend, we may get some pretty sweet color for some pics and whatnot. Eat there somewhere...where ever...then at some point head back towards downtown or somewhere in between. Eventually, we'll probably meet up with some more locals.
I know, not a lot of detail...but I'm just throwing this together.

Ok, Leave my place at 8am to get to Autobahn at whenever. Head out by 11 to Starved Rock. Leave there around 2ish or when deemed appropriate to Sooperdawghs. Downtown at some point thereafter, though not too late so we get booted from everywhere. Though, if it's going to stay nice, I'd LOVE to get downtown near sunset to get some good ligting pics of that nature...
Those coming from the city...
if you want to take the long way and take 94 down, you can meet us at the Lincoln Oasis.
From the west burbs...
I'm trying to think of a good spot off 355, but there really isn't any.
You can meet us at Autobahn if you just want to pick it up from there to get to Ottawa at or around 11.

Haha...definitely not Canada.
You coming out? Get all the old(er) locals out. Not older as in age, I mean that have been a rotary guy for a long while.
