There is a show coming up in Indianapolis at Indianapolis Raceway park, but its not just a show...cars that register get free runs down the drag strip. I am going to be there but I do not have an RX-7 yet. I would like to see and meet some members there. I would also like to see some of the ricers shown up on the strip. It really is a great time, and there are awesome parties after the show at nite. Last year the cops were just standing there watching people line up to do burn-outs.

I was there 2 years ago and was sorely disappointed it was even advertised as a 'Import Bash'. 90% of the vehicles were low rider, air bagged trucks and cars. Very, very few performance oriented cars. I'd hope that changes or more people will be disappointed again.

 

That's the weekend that Steve Kan is coming to town to tune our cars...... You must be crazy!

Last year the Imports were about 70% of the show.

 

^agreed and the trucks looked pretty nice to nothing hernandez style....also there was several un organized un official drift contests put together by some locals that i attended

crap i got the dream cruise in PA this weekend

 

Last year it was like $35 to spectate! Only a few cars were even worth looking at. Most were rusted out hacked up pieces of junk. and the food was like $8 for a hot dog. Aside from that it was a lot of fun. Great for people watching. Lots to see, lots to do, and many private parties to crash.

In its 12th year they have come a long long way from a few guys in a parking lot. I havnt been to a nopie event but Im sure this rivals it in heart if not in quality cars. Come support the event... we need more participant car shows in the Midwest that involve racing.

Alrite i just got back from day one. The after part of the show was Awsome! I Seen an V8 RX do some great burn outs, and i seen a stock vert. Its been a really great time so far!! Not too mention the boobies I seen
