Do you realize that this is a public forum? It is not legal to overlook items that fail. Anyones name that is posted here wont be doing inspections for long. Most inspectors dont know crap about rotary emission systems anyway and if you do have bad steering or suspension components you deserve to fail. I dont want you driving anywhere near someone i know with a known bad tie rod, tires.. anything that compromises the safety of your car.

I didnt mean to jump all over you, the wording implied to me the car had no business on the road. Most inspectors primary concern is the safety of the vehicle even on a piston engine they are actually familiar with. If it has something that resembles a cat on it and the block off plates look like they somewhat belong there that will be the end of it. If you get nit picked you can always get it inspected somewhere else and its only $12.

No really, anybody know a good RX-7 mechanic in St. Louis

As of 9/07 St. Louis no longer requires emissions for vehicles 1995 and older. Does anyone know a good rotary mechanic in this area? I'd like to know of a good place to take my car if it needs work.

thanks,

Tony

Tony,

Is that for the STL area only or for the state of MO?
