Anybody wanna go shootin?

I'm meeting EvilAviator this Saturday morning at 10am at the new Top Gun indoor shooting range. It's in Arnold, full address can be found here http://www.topgunss.com/

I'm going to bring a bag full of goodies to shoot, for the guys I know it's no problem to shoot anything I bring, just pay for your own ammo. They're having their Grand Opening for their new range. They also do gun rentals there if you want to try some stuff out. Even if you've never shot before but want too, this would be a good opportunity for you. I'm a decent shooter and a good teacher, I'd be happy to work with somebody who wants to learn.

If anybody wants to come out and play, post back here. Jim and I can wait out in the parking lot so we can go in together, in case you don't know what we look like. And Justin, if you're reading this but can't post cuz you're a tool that got banned, hit me on IM or give me a call.

I am a member of the Arnold range just down the road from Top Gun, so afterwards we can go there to shoot as my guests without range fees if the weather is decent. All shooters will need to supply their own eye and hearing protection, which you should be able to buy at Top Gun if you don't already have it.

I can also give instruction to anybody who wants some help. My credentials include Certified NRA Pistol Instructor, NRA Smallbore Rifle Marxman First Class, and U.S. Army Expert Rifle & Pistol.

Woohoo, lots of fun!

Some of what we shot:

Evil Aviator demonstrating his special technique of shooting around the steel plates with his Glock. (Only peons shoot AT the plates).

Evil Aviator accidentally hitting the plates with BOOSTD 7's EAA Witness Match .45.

Dave shooting BOOSTD 7's custom Fusion 10mm Longslide. Some of the less powerful guns had trouble knocking down the steel plates. This one... not so much.

BOOSTD 7 with his new Marlin 45/70 - didn't kick as much as expected.

BOOSTD 7 with his custom AR. Obviously he spends way too much time on http://pimpmygun.doctornoob.com/app.html

BOOSTD 7 showing that true happiness is the "ping" after the 8th round. The M1 Garand ejected clip is visible right above his fingers. Fortunately, his fingers made it through the day without any damage this time.

Great pics man, thanks for posting ... it sure was a great day for shootin! Get that knee feeling better and lets do some pistol matches together.

Don't be hatin on that AR, it's probably the favorite of my 10 or so. 6.8 SPC btw, here's a shot showing the camo I put on it. I call it "Suburban ACU", not quite Urban Digital, not quite Woolands Digital

Yeah, I passed out again late Saturday... fortunately it wasn't on my face this time, lol. I am now finished with the painkillers, so hopefully that will solve the issue. Now I just need a decent handgun. Also, we need to find a match that fits our schedules. It seems that all of the evening matches are on Thursdays, which is the same time as my kickboxing class.

Well, I don't think it's worth moving to STL ... but if you're ever passing through

We may not have many tracks, but we have shitloads of shooting ranges.
