We all should try to make it to the EVOLV BBQ in August.

 

When is that? I was on that site but it's so dead...

I need to pay more attention to the Midwest thread, I completely missed out.

 

so lets call this one a trial run as there seems to be some life coming back into the local rotary scene. The video was all I could really do with the limited amount of footage/pics I actually took. I managed to not get a single shot of anything at the actual forest preserve.

I have some pics I am going to put up in a little while and I think everyone should do the same.

I do hope that maybe we can arrange/plan a group shot next go around....that and maybe a more logistical way of parking would make for awesome shots. I am talking like all gens park together and maybe on opposite sides of the lot in sort of a stare-down scene.

That and maybe have a designated section for "other" cars...I almost wanted to cry seeing all these 7 lined up but then having 1 or 2 different cars killing the flow (I am talking from a purely photo-graphical point of view as it's a very rare opportunity that this many get together....so don't get me wrong I loved the other cars that showed)


Have fun though at the Evolv meet...I unfortunately will be in Colorado so I'm going to miss it.

 

As soon as my metric hose adaptor comes in, I'll be on the road again.

As far as the EVOLV BBQ, location is still TBD, I'll post back when they pick a location. Anyone who is interested in going should probably check out their forum and volunteer to bring something, since it is a potluck BBQ.

Well it starts fine once I got home, so this is going to be hard to troubleshoot. Could be many things, starter/bad ground/ignition switch/starter relay.

Gonna run some ohm test and see what I find between the battery and starter, might add a couple grounds as Sal suggested, and probably gonna order a new starter just to rule that one out.

 

The BBQ is gonna be at Carl R. Hansen Woods | Grove 1.

Anyone in the greater Milwaukee area down for a cruise on Labor Day?

I would hope to have my car finished to be able to take tour of Milwaukee - this is something up in the air right now, but it is hopeful! But, it would be nice to see some other RX's out here somewhere.

 

I was thinking meet up at Whitnall or Grant and cruise down to Bong.

But I don't want to do it with just one other car... it's so hard to set up meets

 

We should just have a dyno meet when Steve is back in town.

 

He's in town sept 19-21. Same shop. You're all welcome to come by. If time permits we can do a couple of 3 pull for $75 deals

 

i can get at least another 7 or two to come with. im game for franklin to bong.

What time are you thinking to meet and greet? Noon, then roll out around 1pm sound good?

Also, anyone got a little smokey joe they can bring along so we can grill some dinner at Bong? I only have a big grill. If someone wants to bring a grill and charcoal I'll bring the meat. Anyone else please bring a side item.
