88 'vert up and running !!

bad grounds.... hidden underneath the coils was the culprit. cleaned them up and voila !! it starts.

even passed emissions !! next is safety inspection.


thanks to all who have replied with advice.

attached is a photo.. not bad for 1700 $ , huh ??

no major damage. a few cosmetic dings, broken pass. mirror, scuffs. new top, about 1800 $ in repairs by PO, interior is great, PO said his PO had the engine rebuilt but my PO kind of doubts that.

hey, the wife loves it and even rode topless in it !! (you figure that one out )

Not bad at all, especially if its been rebuilt.

Running a compression test should give you a pretty good idea how healthy the motor is.

Looks like mine, Good find I paid 1900 for mine, it had 71,866 original miles......

Talking good deal

i paid 600.00 for mine got in st louis, got it started by changing alternator and leading ignitor, plus a few little odds and ends, and buffed out the paint. looks good, ill post some pics when i get a chance.
