417rotary scenic drive Nov. 13th

Hey guys and gals I just wanted to post up real quick that we are planning a scenic drive to Eureka Springs next month. The times are still getting fleshed out since it's still a month out but I thought I might give area members a chance to plan ahead and meet us there or in Springfield. Details can be found here: Nov 13th drive

Please feel free to add any advice you may have, like best places to eat or parking lots that can handle us since I have not been down there. We are really trying to make this club appeal to all things rotary and to revive the S.W. Missouri area again for events like this.

Wow, 85 views and no one in the S.W. Missouri or N.W. Arkansas region has any interest. It's alright we'll still be doing a lot of these as time goes on.

Yeah I haven't been to their meets in a long time myself, of course I moved out to PA for a few years so that might have something to do with it too ;-) You should come down for the drive! It's still a month away. I know next year we are wanting to do things with the St.Louis guys since a few of us use to drive to St.Louis almost weekly when they were more active with their meets.

The drive details are under way and in full swing, now all we need is more peeps!! Big thanks to the Joplin crew for stepping up and joining in on the fun. So plans have been set and flyers have been made, I just can't wait till the 13th. Here's the details.

Springfield crew:
We are meeting at the Grizzly parking lot @ 8:30 am; on the north side of battlefield. In case you don't know where it's at here's the address:
. There's plenty of space and easy access for a bunch of cars. Departure time will be at 9:00 am and we will be heading towards the Sonic in Marionville to meet up with the Joplin Crew at around 9:30. The Sonic address is

Joplin Crew:
We will be meeting you at the Sonic in Marionville @ 9:30 so you don't have to head to Springfield and then back track to Marionville. Departure time for all of us will be around 10:00 and we will start the fun part of the drive to Eureka Springs!

Destination: Pied Piper in Eureka Springs
I'm sure most of us will be hungry by the time we get there, twisties always seem to do that after a while.
The address is:

Here is the menu

After everyone has had their belly's filled we can take some time to walk around and enjoy some shopping or find a spot to take a group picture. Gregs wife is a professional photographer and will be taking pictures along the way through out the day. Having her around for the final group pictures is awesome and will definitely add that extra bit the club needs. We will play it by ear on what time everyone fills good to head home as there is a lot to see and do in Eureka Springs.

In case you get separated or lost call these numbers:
Chris (417) 631-3094
Kyle (417) 629-4561
Greg (417) 827-0274

Please do bring Walkie Talkies if you have them, they add and aid in the drive. Also as a reminder to all that being a "spirit" and being "spirited" are two different things. Corners are fun a little over the speed limit, especially if your vehicle can handle it. But don't feel the need to over work you and your cars abilities. It really takes the fun out of the drive when we spend half of it pulling cars out of ditches. Or worse pulling your body out of it instead. With that being said let's have some fun and I hope to see all you there!!!!!

Here's a map I thought should bring up some good twisty's on the way down:

Also here is the flyer for any to print out and wants to spread the word!

Hi! Lol.

And no jamespond24. I'm not a big drag racer, just not my cup of tea. I usually stick to track days at Hallett if i do anything. If you do go make a big showing, all my friends i go to school with talk alot of smack about 7's. They don't talk any about mine though.

I unfortunately can't go, I had to work pretty hard at getting the 13th off as it is. Post it up on the board I'm sure other members might be able to go!
