I got my car running again with a bunch of new vacuum lines and a banjo bolt. I am DD-ing it again. Woot woot. I missed Vanessa soo much.

Bump for me getting my car ready!

 

I've been slowly cleaning my car getting ready for this. Unfortunatly its going to look like *** anyways, damn hail...

 

Eh. Mine probably looks worse and I don't have hail as an excuse.

i was gona meet some rx-8's at the speedway but im not sure whats going on now. if any1 wants to meet up and drive down there just let me know wheres a good place to meet up at.

i got a quick question thats kinda of the topic i think i got a 5th or 6th port not moving which ever one it is on the passenger side above the ex manifuld nearst to the firewall i thought about taking this off and seeing what i can do to clean it up what do you guys think i should try and do if you have any experties in this please contrubute thanks kanin sry about my spelling.

 

They should start to move a about 3800rpm. Try reving the car and watching them. I can't recall it they'll open without a load on the motor though, so just reving in neutral may not work. I'd take them apart and clean them. or if you can break them free just wire them open (you will not miss them at all, I promis)

hey so i dived in and took my intake manifold off and iam trying to get the 5th and 6th port going i have pics of it all apart so does any one know of any mods i can do to it while i got it taken apart on that one side

 

hey alex or midwest, do you by any chance have a blue air cleaner case that you could bring up? i've got an idea and there arent any junkyards close...

 

midwest has tons of those things. seriously.

There doesn't need to be load on the engine, it just needs to be at WOT, and passed 3800 or so, they open with backpressure, and that means they couldl be opening at different times on different cars, so don't assume yours open right at 3800.

 

thanks for all the help i got it unstuck and now iam waiting to get some seals from atkins rotary i think i got the whole idea on they work now now i just hope it will run a lot better then it did before i had to take the intake manifold off and all that stuff that was a lot of fun well hope to see you all at the meet thanks kanin Robbs

just found an owner of an 85 gsl-se in newton and i quickly convinced him to come as well. i know there are a couple of us goin from newton, i was just wonderin how many are going from around here like wichita or anywhere close to newton. It would make sense to have a good size group driving together to lawrence that are from this area. just an idea.

 

I'll probably head down south to meet you guys and head out from there.
