Mrr '07?

Just curious, so I can start planning.

The ALMS Power Series is Aug 9-12, and that's when Star Mazda is there.

I think I'm going to buy tickets anyway, but yeah... so... I guess I can start getting excited?

Yes - we have had a MRR for the last 7 years in a row and will be continuing this year as well. I believe our corral area is on the outside corner (north side) just past the 'vette area. That's where it's been the last couple years anyhow.

Just after turn three, right?

I have that weekend off and will be buying two weekend passes, so I better not be alone.

And let it be known, my FC is a grandiose rusty heap of steel, a mishmash of paint, and my own trial and error. Don't be afraid to bring your car, no matter its shape, this is about loving the rotary and the 7, not loving just the immaculate ones.

Yes, on the outside of turn three but just a little east of the apex.

We can fix the grandeur with a couple cans of rattle paint so you can at least park in the same general area and look respectable... or at least make an attempt at it?

Why would you think you are going to be alone? As stated earlier, we've been there for several years now and I've been one of the original members who's been there since the first year and every year since. There's at least a dozen and a half cars minimum and we have members from Milwaukee area, Chicago, and the twin cities that come every year.

Cheers

I've not been able to find sapphire blue metallic anywhere, otherwise I would. And I am not shelling out buku bucks to have a fender painted, no sir. $3-500 for paint = new suspension and tires. I have my priorities. I'll wash and wax it this year, and get some new seat covers too, so it'll be shiny. Not every 7 is garage kept.

...and let it be known Joanne Coleman wouldn't let me park in the corner where I wanted, she had me park right in the middle of everything. Granted, I had the original, horribly dented fender on the car still.

It was just a little... empty last year, yeah there were people, but I know there are more guys in their early to mid 20s than just Renesisfury and myself in this area and the late-comer with the black TurboII.

That's pretty funny. I've never asked anybody where I "could" park.

We've certainly had many more people from the cities in earlier years, the last couple have been the core group only unfortunately.

Not sure what you mean by more guys in the early to mid 20's and the empty comment? Are you looking for more people in that age group?

Bingo.

Not saying it's not nice and all being with enthusiasts, but I would like to see a few more younger people show up. I felt as if I didn't have enough people to identify with.

Not complaining, just saying I wish more younger people would come, because I know there are a lot of them out there, and I'm going to try my hardest to get as many to come as possible.

I was hoping more people my age would come and less "kids" would...(early 20's). Guess we're diametrically opposed and thus enemies from now on ha ha

There's a Milwaukee thread in the Midwest section with a bunch of guys your age - look for the thread about HWY 100. Not sure what part of central WI you're in but I thought there were some others in Wausau area that post on here. There are also a bunch on the teamfc3s forum in the "Minnesota" thread that are your age and mine.

Well, there's still plenty of time to recruit more people!

Hey, you know, I should probably go to this! My brother and I could drive our 7s and get at least one other 86 sport owner to come. I'm 26, my bro's 23 nd the Sport owner is maybe 19.

I'm sure you could ride with a few other Minnesota goons.

And just for you, Turbo 3, I'll be bringing my new FB instead.

What the heck is that supposed to mean? I haven't been ridiculing your cars' looks or I don't think I have been...?

And "goons"... sorry - don't get it

Although it is an oxymoron to say "new FB" as they are collectors at this point. Actually, older than you, correct? Beautiful car BTW - very clean and in great condition.

Hey Enthu, should get the guys from the fc3s board to come along as well. None of those guys seem to want to leave the metro with their cars for some reason. Be good to see ****** come out as I don't get to talk with him much anymore.

Yes you do, don't lie.

Yes, the car is older than me. But I've got less rust.
