I tired to do this last year so I'll try to do it this year. Who want to take the ferry across lake michigan to get to the MRR?

Kinda far off I know but it might be nice to be able to charter the whole boat especially if I get the Indy folks in on it.

Heh, do you know how big that boat is? It would take hundreds of 7's to fill it up! Also they drive your car on/off the boat and they pack them in tight if the ship is full. Dunno if that would make someone uncomfortable or not.

In any case they run a pretty strict schedule, so you'd be hard pressed to 'charter' the whole thing. I've seen meeting rooms, so maybe that would be an option for you. Get a meeting room and congregate there.

I've been on that boat and the other older (now gone) routes many times over the last 25 years incuding when they had train cars and top loaded cars and am a fan.
