I believe that if you were present Saturday, that you would be around enough to collect the popular votes to be in the running.

I would say that Saturday should have a few more cars, sometimes people that have a long drive will head out for home early on Sunday.
Plus, gate tickets at Road America are less expensive.
And don't worry about being laughed at, I think that you'll find that as a whole, it's a very casual atmosphere, and most of us have spent time bringing back some project cars. For me, it's also neat to see some of the same people each year and see their progress. For example, Turbo3..... (that thing running yet?!?!?!?) hehehe....
Anyway, as long as it's not 95+ degrees out, there should be many cars to look at, and owners milling about between and during races.
