Will a LT8 set up for DSM work on my 7?

OK so i have been looking for a lt8 used, and i found one but the guy says he took it off a DSM. He seems to think that I can just rewire the harness and it will work. Is this right? I thought microtechs had to be sent back to the factory any time you changed hardware....?? Anyway, if someone could explain this to me, I'd appreciate it

Thanks
Pat

Yes and no.

Yes it will, but not immediately. It will need to be sent back to microtech to be reconfigured, and you should probably get a new harness with it.

Yea, any Microtech that was configured for another car will need to be re-configured for that particular engine. It will need to be sent to Australia Microtech and the last time I heard was $210 US including shipping back to the US.
If you get a good deal on it with all the bells and whistles.....why not?
